The team at University of Manchesters’ Student Union approached me about painting a series of murals in their cafeteria area themed to ‘communication’. Using abstract shapes and vibrant colours to lighten the room, I approached the theme by painting huge elements to echo the way students use the space. The murals were painted entirely with emulsion.
